Joesph Stalin is undeniably a genius. His methods and tactics taking into account the transformation of a backwards nation present no other possible conclusion. A weakening Russian Nation was transformed in a matter of years with Stalin leading the way, keeping the interest of the people in the spotlight while his personal objective was his main focus the whole time. Stalin was able to convince a large majority of the Russian population that everything was for them while many benefits and profits came his way as the Totalitarian Dictator of a booming Russian society. This dictatorship that Joesph Stalin imposed on Russia from 1912 to 1953 was able to achieve success through its cruel and unorthodox methods. With terror as his tool of manipulation he was able to turn Russia in to a highly effective World power; economically, politically and with wide spread social acceptance. Using such things as his five years plan, the communist ideals of Karl Marx and a weakening nation looking for strength Joesph Stalin was able to step in and take control of a country that was literally bottoming out.
