Internet

There are a great number of people in the world who used Internet, but not many of them really know the definition of Internet itself. Internet is basically a connection between networks, whereby networks are connections between computers (Shelly, 2001). Therefore, Internet is similar to giant networks of computers. The second question is “what sort of problems that the Internet has to face at the moment?” Being global does not really make the Internet safe. The research will definitely help people to anticipate problems that most likely occurred in the Internet. It is known to many people that viruses and worms are the major threat for the Internet industry worldwide. The research will cover some of the issues regarding these threats and the solution for the infected computers. It will also provide information on steps that could be taken to avoid any attack from Internet viruses or worms.

In order to maintain minimal cost in interactive communications between computers, ARPANET applied the new technology of “packet switching.” Packet switching takes large messages of computer data and then breaks them into smaller pieces (known as packets) that can move freely over any available circuit to the target destination. When the packets arrive in its desired destination, the pieces are then reconstructed.
