These websites offer patients diets, housing arrangements, helpful tests and surveys, and even various treatments. It is easily distinguishable to tell which sites are designed for which people. Some are designed for the patient; some for people who want to get involved with support groups, etc. If you are looking to get involved with Parkinson?s, the APDA would be an excellent site to visit. It offers current information on charity events and several organizations you can join. Want to find breakthroughs in research? The National Parkinson Foundation gives up to date and detailed articles on scientific findings. If you just want to know what Parkinson?s is, go to the website maintained by Somerset Pharmaceuticals, which will give you the basic idea of Parkinson?s in great detail. None of the websites evaluated were unreliable as a whole, but suited for the needs of different people. It is pleasing to know that there is so much helpful information on the web. If I were suffering from this terrible disease, it would comfort me greatly to know that so many people care enough to work so hard on a cause.
