Kill or be Killed
America is no longer safe. Americans now have to get used to the idea that we are vulnerable. There hasn?t been an attack on mainland America since the Revolutionary War. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was the last major attack on America, and that was a military base. Soldiers were the casualties in that attack, but in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers on September 11th, civilians were the casualties. Since that terrible day, many people have asked the question, ?Should we fight?? The answer, according to Paul Starr, a writer for The American Prospect, is ?let there be no doubt that America is justified in going to war against what President Bush describes as terrorism of ?Global Reach?.?(Starr 27) It seems inevitable that there will be more terrorist attacks.
