Compare and Contrast Essay
For this compare and contrast book report, I chose to read two books from a notorious author known as Ray Bradbury. I chose to compare the novel "The Martian Chronicles" to "Fahrenheit 451". By comparing two science-fiction novels written by Bradbury, I had hoped to give them at least some similarities. Hopefully in this essay I can show you some differences in Bradbury's writing and his imagination. I felt by comparing these two books, that are the same genre, would be more effective then taking two books that have no similarities. I also choice to use the same author to look at the differences in writing styles one author may use to mix up writing talent. Another similarity in these two novels is that they were both written in the future. Even thought "The Martian Chronicles" starts out a few years ago, if you were to look at when it was written you can see that it was written in future context. I believe this similarity is because they are both science-fiction novels. When I began to think about science-fiction novels, I realized that they are called that for a reason. For any book to be a science fiction novel, they must be a fictional, "what-if" question to be answered.
