Adolph Hitler was a very intelligent man with bad intentions. Hitler maintained and built his power in Nazi Germany through his followers. Hitler took Germans and convinced them that his ideas were the best. Much remains unknown about Hitler to today’s nation. Hitler stood for something good in his mind and spread those thoughts to his followers but as history has shown, nothing good came of Hitler’s reign. Hitler was released from prison in 1924. Immediately Hitler set off on rebuilding the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi Party). Hitler quietly sat in the background and waited for his opportunity to regain national influence. The Great Depression of 1929 was just what he needed. Hitler grabbed the stage and promised jobs to the unemployed and national prosperity. Hitler was subsequently restored to power after the election of 1930 and his plan was set into effect. Throughout all of Hitler’s plans, the undertone to each was keeping the majority of those under his rule happy. This dramatically helped to keep his ratings high amongst his people and allowed him to keep rule. Opposition was fierce to Hitler but because of how he’d reshaped Germany everyone was excited to become part of the Nazi party and would go to great lengths to keep Hitler happy. The downfall to all of this was the fact that if you didn’t agree with Hitler’s ideology, you were either sent of to a concentration camp or worse, death. Fear of these two outcomes is what ultimately helped Hitler maintain and build his power in Nazi Germany. With the civilian sector of his country under control, Hitler set off to rebuild the military that had been restricted so harshly in the near past. Hitler built up his military and set his sights on what was Czechoslovakia, Britain, France, the USSR and ultimately the United States. What Hitler failed to plan on was the Soviets.
