Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981. Even as a young child, she loved to perform. By the time she could walk, she was already singing and dancing. Britney’s talent was discovered at about five years old. “It all started when Britney and Lynne Spears (her mom), were in the car and Lynne turned on the radio. Brit started to sing and imitate the singer’s style perfectly,” said Ginger Simmons. After her family heard this, they started saving their money to give Britney voice lessons. At the age of five years old, Britney decided that singing is what she wanted to do and no one was going to stop her. Britney’s mom taught her at a young age that winning isn’t everything. Although it may have seemed like she was at the top of the world, she had one more hard thing to overcome. Right after Britney Spears cut her first record “Baby One More Time” She was in a horrible accident. While she was filming for the music video called “Sometimes,” she broke her leg doing a dance. The doctor ended up telling her that she was going to be casted for about six weeks and then have to go through physical therapy. This was a really scary moment in her career, but she persevered and finished her video. The video was a major success

Britney Spears is doing very well right now. In fact this is probably the most success she has ever experienced. Her last album Britney has come out with a new c.d. called “Oops I Did It Again.” She currently has sold fourteen million copies of this album. If that’s not enough, she has also won a few awards including a Grammy. I believe that Britney Spears is a musical trendsetter for the rest of the world. She is very talented with her music and I just can’t wait for her new album to be released, it should be the best one ever! This project has taught me that it’s important to keep trying regardless of the obstacles. Even though I’m only fourteen, I have already experienced how hard it is to make it in the music business. Hopefully, I’ll be able to experience some degree of success like Britney Spears. While I know it won’t be easy, it would be worth all the hard work.
