Book report- The Enlighment
It was a very boring afternoon in October in the town of Pitts Landing .Greg and his three friends, Shari Walker, Doug Arthur, or known to everybody that knows him, except for his parents, as Bird because he looked like one plain and simple. The last friend was Michael Warner. The four friends stood around on Greg’s driveway thinking of what to do for there Saturday afternoon. A couple of suggestions came up . The first came from Mike. “ How about a game of baseball.” Shari emedietly cried out in a nasty voice, “ You can’t play with four people.” The next came from Greg. “ You guys want to go to Dairy Freeze for some ice cream. My brother Terry, just got a new job over there, he might be able to give us free cones. “ Everyone wanted cones, but they also knew how cheap he is ; he probably wouldn’t give us over an inch of ice cream. The third and final suggestion was Shari’s “ Do you guys want to take a walk around the neighborhood or something.” There was nothing else to do so we all agreed and took a walk around the neighborhood. After about a mile of walking, the group decided to take a break from walking and sat under a nice shady tree. No one wanted to keep on walking, so as before suggestions came
The three who were upstairs ran as quickly as they could down into the basement. As soon as they reached the bottom of the steps, they saw a laughing Bird.” Is this a joke Bird “ Shari cried out her voice sounding like she wanted to choke him. Bird got up from his chair and stood next to Greg who punched him. “ OOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! What was that for.” “ Greg whispered ” That was for making us run down here thinking someone had their hands on you and it was all a joke . Anyway, the four looked straight ahead which they could not believe their eyes. Whoooo!! Look at that beautiful thing Bird said . Everyone except for Greg followed Bird across the basement. This is a beautiful and a huge armour Bird exclaimed as he opened up the armour. Inside the huge piece of furniture were all types of clothing. Shari tried a mink coat on Mike a Yankee jacket, and Bird a weird hat. “What do you got there Greg.’ Mike asked “ I’ts a camera that I found.”Hey Greg, Bird started to say, take my picture, will ya.” “ Ok Bird, just on the top step .” he did and Greg snaped the picture. A little slide fell out in the back of the camera. “ Hey Bird come down and see your picture.” He did, but just as he stepped onto the last step he tripped and he went flying and landed on his back. As they all walked in they thought that the house would be exciting to see, but it was actuactly boring because every room was filled with the same stuff : old newspapers, beer cans, dust, spiders and their webs, and other sorts of trash. Out of the blue Mike said,”This is a very boring adventure Shari. I can’t you talked me into this. ....... . “ He just went on talking about how
