Human relationships exist everywhere from our everyday lives to our dreams at night. Relationships can work very effortlessly or often become extremely complicated. The associations and general human interactions included in life will always affect the outcome of one’s destiny.
In the first story, “Father”, we see how the father changes his personality as he becomes older. In the beginning, the father portrays himself as a man with anger management problems, caused by the stress of supporting a family aided with his friends and their chokecherry wine. In the second story, “Mother and Son”, we examine the actions of two individuals and how they interact through their relationship. The story starts out as the mother and son meet in a room holding a party for the mom’s friends. As the mother plays with her son’s hair, there is no verbal communication between the two, however a significant amount of detail clearly explains their loving interaction. The mother and son exchange smiles and this act brings the mother a confident sense of power. The proud parent, as she is still entertaining her guests, plays with her son’s ears and the buttons on his shirt. The son draws back for an instant, yet he then accepts these gentle gestures he is receiving from his kindhearted mother. The story conc
