Hume believed that knowledge came from experience, and one person’s experience would only exist in ones mind. Impressions and ideas are categories, which Hume groups perception and experience into. Ideas are expressed to be memories of a feeling, and impressions are what have caused these feelings. Basically explaining than an impression may just be a momentary sensation, however having an idea can be a permanent feeling.

Hume, who was always claimed of being an atheist, basically denies the existence of everything, except our observations alone. Hume tries to explain that the world through the eyes of religion and science can’t be definite. He tries to explain the value of our knowledge about our world and surroundings.
