Pages One-Four - Introduction to Cultural Scene ChosenPages Five- Six -Journal of Observations Pages Seven- Ten - Glossary of Folk Terms Introduction to Chosen Cultural Scene I entered an edifice the size of four stories and about ten windows across. It was amazing. This structure was dark brown-grey in coloring. The entrance was a door around 150 centimeters higher than the crown of my head. I am about one 162.5 centimeters in height. I walked into this building and as I looked to my left, saw several rows of black buttons with numbers and letters on them. I started pushing some and I kept hearing voices. Then I saw a button that was different from all others. It was white. I pushed that one and heard the buzz again. A few people kept going in and out and I realized that we were supposed to push the door that was inside the building. I entered this building and saw a huge trap door again. A few people kept getting into this jail-typed little room. Then the door closed and the monster ate the people. I asked someone what that was and they said that it was called an elevator. A strange word.
Informant: My friends told me that this was a very good Doctor and brought me to her. Day Four: I went to a different office of Doctor and told them that I was doing a research project and asked them to help me. I did not want to pay the huge sums of money that I have been paying until now. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could come for the next few days and observe. After she asked the Medicine Woman, she said that the Medicine Woman had agreed and that I do not have to pay. Informant: I come to this Doctor because she is closest to me. Day Two: Today, I entered a different office and went through the same process again with a Medicine Woman also named Doctor. I again paid the Medicine Person 150 dollars.
