JCPenney Optical and Sears Optical share similar traits. Regardless of there alike qualities, they both have several things that contrast. Each of these departments have a difference in there floor plans, customer service polices, and the final quality of there glasses. The floor plan at JCPenney and Sears, which consist of there frame, and work area setup is the first thing that differs between the two companies. The frame setup for product displays at JCPenney is far better than the way they are displayed at Sears. JCPenney sorts all of there frames that are over $219 so customers may easily identify them in contrast to Sears who mixes all of there frames together by category of Men's Women's and Children's Frames. JCPenney has a separate panel just for Drilled Rimless frames. Sears places there Drilled Rimless frames in a spatial order around there department where it impossible to find without asking an associate. Discounted frames at Penney's are in a separate room for persons looking for a good bargain. However at Sears they have no particular place for these types of shoppers to distinctly search for low priced frames. Lastly the quality of service is the final attribute that contrasts with Sears and JCPenney optical departments. The service that you receive is an important component in quality that Sears lacks in contrast with JCPenney's great quality of customer service. If there is any product question that you may have while being served while at JCPenney, you can get an answer with no hesitation. However when I was served at Sears, simple product question the optician had to call the Doctor to see what my prescription meant. The presentation at JCPenney when I received my glasses they were sitting on a black velvet mat, waiting for me to try them on. When I got my glasses at Sears, they were handed to me in a very unsupportive eye glass case. The time that you have waited while you are being served should be quick as it is with JCPenney optical. The very first time I visited Sears optical I came in when the sun was up, and came out when the sun was down. The final spectacle inspection of you lenses is the up most important part of the quality of what you are paying for.
