The Delorean DMC-12

The Delorean DMC-12 was a car that became popular in the early 1980’s. This car was designed, built, and manufactured by the Delorean Motor Company. This sports car became famous for its unusual design, and its exposure from television and the media. It became so unusual and popular that it was used in the “Back to the Future” movies. The Delorean DMC-12 was a car that has a story almost as unusual as the car’s design.

John Z. Delorean was a reputable man in the car world in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He had made his name by working for companies like GM and Chevrolet. In 1975 John Z. They were even in negotiations, but then the Northern Ireland Development Agency came up with a great proposal for DMC. They made a factory in Dunmurry, Ireland which Delorean most of it’s money. Due to the escalating problems in Ireland at the time, DMC went about doing things in their own way. They hired equal amounts of Catholics and Protestants so that violence would be avoided. DMC came under little or no trouble while in Ireland, because many people were enthusiastic having the company in their country. The factory may have lasted a while, but the company that was producing cars didn’t last that long.

The Delorean DMC-12 was and in my opinion still is, one of the finest automobiles around. This car looks luxurious and is said to be spacious, but only has the capacity to seat only two people. The doors of the car are gull-wing doors. A gull-wing door is a door that opens
