The world air traffic will triple in the next twenty years according to analysts. The skies will become overcrowded making it more dangerous for people to fly. (Rene17) That’s why there is a strong need for bigger passenger airliners that can carry more people at once. Airbus is answering this need with their new Airbus A380 jumbo jet. The new Airbus A380 airliner will be profitable for the airline companies, comfortable for passengers, and will succeed in the market. Airbus is a European company, and doesn’t have a country that it belongs to. It has headquarters across Germany, Spain, France, and U.K. The corporation is one of the largest passenger aircraft makers in the world, the other one being Boeing, and it makes every type of airliner imaginable; from small regional jets to large transoceanic liners. Major and small airline companies all over the world use airbus’ planes. United Airlines, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Jet Blue are among these companies (Airbus website). The company’s exciting new project is the super sized Airbus A380 designed to meet demand of the enormous growth of passenger air travel. “Obviously, the most spectacular feature of this new leviathan of the skies is the fu
boarding and deplaning process where passengers are kept standing in the aisle while their “traveling companions” are putting away their luggage and sitting down or waiting to get off the plane will be made much easier. There will be more space for people to move around the cabin, and they will not be squished while passing a flight attendant with a serving trolley. The seats too will be much better than any current seats used on the planes with a pitch of 81cm (32in) in economy. This will help address travel problems like leg swelling, blockage of pulmonary arteries, and respiratory difficulties that usually accompany long distance flights. The cabin will have two stairways; a wide dual-lane stairway at the front and a curved stairway aft. The fuselage will be elliptical instead of a cylindrical shape so that extra height needed for the upper deck could be gained with only a minimum increase of width over the competition. The plane will be a trendsetter for new levels of comfort in the sky. To make sure that their latest jet will truly be comfortable for passengers Airbus took cabin mock-ups to eight major cities in three different continents, and asked 1200 male and female frequent travelers of different nationalities and cultures about what new things they should implement into their latest flying creation. The plane will offer numerous luxuries to its passengers like lounges, shops, a fitness center, conference rooms, and sleeping accommodations. A lot of these amenities can be fit into the space below the jet’s two main decks. Some people believe that the plane will set new benchmarks of luxury, and will cause airlines to bring more lavishness into the air. Moreover it will bring an end to cramped seats and crowded cabins; health hazards that are usually associated with long distance flying. The basic A 380-100 will carry 555 passengers in a typical long haul three-class arrangement. This will have 102 business class and 103 economy class seats on the upper deck, with 22 first class and 328 economy seats on the main deck. The seating layout will be two seats on each side, and two in the middle in first class. In the economy and business classes it will have three seats on each side, and four in the middle. “Design of the jets cabin is aimed at enhancing the sense of spaciousness.” The Many airlines showed a tremendous amount of interest for this airplane. In the next twenty years there will be a demand for 1,235 planes to serve the major dense routes between the ten biggest world airports. These routes would be North Atlantic, Pacific, Europe-Asia/Australia, and some regional routes in Asia. The airline make up of this market will be 55% Asian, 23% European, 18% U.S., and 4% from other countries. By the year 2019 fifty eight airlines will be flying the jet on 92,450 flights a month connecting 584 airport-pairs, and 315 freighter planes will also be in service. Already International Lease Finance Corporation, the world’s largest leasing company, has orders for five je
