In the book “Night” by Ellie Wiesel, Ellie faces many problems, and fears. The book is based during World War II. Adolf Hitler reigns, and has come to power legitimately, and could manipulate huge audiences. Hitler would begin his speeches with a normal voice and then he spoke louder as his tone became angry.. It starts off in Transyvania where Ellie lives with his dad, mom, and brothers and sisters. Ellie is a passionate Jewish boy who loves practicing and learning about his religion. Ellie apprentices himself under a man named Moshe the Beadle, to learn more about his religion. War had begun and soldiers started moving into houses all around him. Moshe gets sent to a work camp, Ellie unaware of where Moshe went or if he’ll ever seen him again. For Ellie days pass slow in the time Moshe has left. While in the camps Moshe sees horrible things, things that he could never forget. He is shot in the leg and left for dead. Moshe manages to escape and unites with Ellie again. Moshe tells Ellie and the rest of the town of what he has seen. He saw babies being used for target practice, a woman that took three days to die, and still more awful sites. But nobody believed him.
