Character Profile: Hazelmae
In the scene from clearing in the woods by Aurthur Laurents, Two girls named Nora and Hazelmae go into the woods for a picnic instead of going to a house party to which both where invited to. The girls talk and then Nora notices in a clearing a young man whom she finds attractive is busily cutting down a tree. Nora makes herself noticed by the boy. When he finally notices her he finds her an easy target for a fling. Hazelmae understands what the boy is trying to accomplish and tries to persuade her friend to come with her and be safe from hurt. Hazelmae from embarrassment runs away leaving. Nora being stubborn does not do this and once Hazelmae has left, Nora goes off with the boy. Full Christian Name: Hazelmae Millie Darlington Illnesses: obesity, suffers from hyperventilation, phobias from small spaces and heights. Other: small scar below left eye (i.e. biography). freckles covering nose, and below eyes. Dimple in chin.
