In every day life there are many scenarios in which the height and the depth of a fluid may be required. A petrol tank for example, with a sensor to let the person who is driving know that it is empty and needs refilling. Another example may be a vat full of chemicals that lets a warning out when the level of fluid inside is dangerously high and flow needs to be stopped.
What I am hoping to achieve is a circuit and a sensor to explore the characteristics of these types of systems. I hope to create a measuring system calibrated so that the user can assess the level of liquid inside by reading values from an output source rather than simply manually measuring the input.
To design a sensor that will give me a visual signal from a sensor to tell me that then level of fluid in the container is increasing or decreasing. The system will need to
Before I start my experiment I will do an preliminary investigation to asses the effectiveness of my sensor, whether I can justify my initial objectives and hopeful iron out any problems I may have encountered by going straight into the experiment. Here are the preliminary results of my experiment;
