Yes, as you have probably guessed already, it is the unoriginality and just plain stupidity of the mainstream of modern movies that I want to direct so much hate and firepower at, that maybe some of the readers of this will so much as think that maybe I am right. Horror is the genre where a woman in fear of a psychopath murderer somewhere in her house will so willingly get out of bed in the most revealing clothes possible, to search for the murdered in the darkest parts of her house without a care to turn on the light switch so that she can see, only to find out the rattling behind a door downstairs is her pet cat who will promptly jump out at her giving her a fright. On a final point, my take of sequels and prequels is equal to the above mentioned for they pray that doing the same movie but a bit more extreme is a completely new original movie. Sequels should have a note to the viewers stating “0% new footage” and should be subtitled “ the search for more of viewer’s money”. On that point. Sequels find it necessary to repeatedly bring back a killed character, even though we saw the same character killed in the previous film. The best example of this are the Alien films where the character of Sigourney Weaver, ‘Ripley’, has been brought back four times to fight the aliens though she threw herself into lava in the third film and was then brought back. Somehow that didn’t make sense. That corrupted the plot! Prequals are even better yet! They can make a series of films make sense once the script writing geniuses start using their tricks. Hello? I liked it when that series of films made sense. Also on the point of sci-fi movies where the solution to a desperate crew of space researchers is a few paperclips and a pencil and an elastic band which will result in the invention of a laser cannon of some kind to fight the ugly aliens! It is also a universal truth among aliens in the movies that they are always ugly and advanced races that just bother invading earth for no reason even though we are so inferior and useless to them. Unfortunately, good readers, scriptwriters are not familiar with logic and reason.
