While he was attending to the Crozer Theological Seminary, he was inspired by Mohandas K. Gandhi, who advocated and spread the peaceful revolution in India as well. King, like Gandhi strongly believed that voices are the most powerful tools and influential weapons. He visited India for self-discovery with his wife and other protesters in 1959. There he had decided to credit the passive resistance policy of Gandhi for his civil rights movement. In any time of the movements he was always in danger of being hurt, arrested as his house was bombed once which even possibly could have killed his wife and child.
