Martin Luther King Jr

Martin Luther King Jr., not only he shaped the heart of blacks, but did he also challenge to reform the heart core of the American society. Although King is well known for being a father of the civil rights movement, often times, a number of hardships and obstacles existed that he had to overcome. What leads King into the civil rights movement was a noted Rosa Parksf case in 1965. Due to refusing to give up the seat for whites section, Rosa Parks got arrested and punished. That incident resulted in forming the blacks altogether and go on a strike against bus company, known as 382 days bus boycott in Montgomery. This was the first act and practice of civil rights movement, and everything launched from here. The bus boycott was the first achievement for Montgomery bus segregation became unconstitutional.

Another important aspect that King always pursued was the non-violent protest policy through the entire movements. While he was attending to the Crozer Theological Seminary, he was inspired by Mohandas K. Gandhi, who advocated and spread the peaceful revolution in India as well. King, like Gandhi strongly believed that voices are the most powerful tools and influential weapons. He visited India for self-discovery with his wife and other protesters in 1959. There he had decided to credit the passive resistance policy of Gandhi for his civil rights movement. In any time of the movements he was always in danger of being hurt, arrested as his house was bombed once which even possibly could have killed his wife and child. However he never fell down to neither revenge nor violence. He made his life sacrifice to the entire protests. He had the perseverance, integrity, and spirit to carry out the whole movement with his passion and love.
