With each new year comes the predictable glut of new year resolutions, but while heads may stick to their guns when they promise to stop smoking, get more exercise, or quit dissing Def Jux artists, the old favourite of losing weight will be a struggle to follow through when you see the cover of Low Life's new compilation. The compilation album bluntly named food Personally I think its only right to show a gastronomical amount of food. The Main image also complements the amount of juicy very well made and presented tracks on this LP. You think Chester P had complex drum patterns, and then his brother Farma G goes over the top in this bland track called ‘Between the Lines’. I don’t really like the drum pattern but the lyrics and flow over this beat are pretty tight, not the best of Farma G but still shows why he reps the UK brilliantly.

Iguana Man, an emcee/producer I haven’t heard much of or about, but after this appearances I wouldn’t mind hearing him a lot more. The self produced track ‘Next Level Response’ has a repeat spice of DJ premier-esque repercussions with the chugging drums, the echoing piano and obviously the classic Premo scratching feel courtesy of Shorty Blitz.
