American Isolation

Prior to World War 2 the United States was considered an isolation nation. An isolation nation is one in which doesn't get involved in world affairs or conflict. Right from the start the with George Washington Neutrality proclamation the Untied States was an isolation nation. George Washington felt that the United States did not have adequate military force or a population big enough to go to war. The country remained an isolation nation for many years to follow. It wasn't until the extreme actions of the dictators of the axis powers that the Untied States unleashed its real power.

In 1933 Adolf Hitler harangued his way into leadership of Germany. The German people were fed up with the treaty of Versailles and figured Hitler was there only chance. Disregarding the treaty of Versailles Hitler fabricated a vast and powerful military unit. Hitler also organized mass killing of the Jewish population. Approximately over 6 million innocent Jews were victims of Hitler's sinister actions. Hitler also invaded his homeland Austria and imedeatly after that he did the same to Czecholslavakia. At this point Hitler seemed unstoppable and he didn't stop there. Hitler made a pact with Stalin dictator of Russia which would allow Hitler to invad

At this point the United States remained in their isolationist state choosing not the interviegn in the situation. Hitler and his army trampled over Poland and then to France. Then he went on and overran Denmark and Norway. A few months later he to Belgium and the Netherlands. The Americans began to become concerned after Hitler took out France but still took no drastic actions.

Another apparent change subsequently to World War 2 was the economic boom. The United States economy was thriving after the war. The other nations of the world were extremely jealous of the booming economy of the United States. America had only 6% of the worlds population yet it accounted for 40% of the worlds wealth. The days of the Great Depression were long gone. The unemployment rate was at an all time low . More people were excited and motivated to get jobs and help support the American economy. More women started joining the work force. The economic boom was just one of the postwar positive things going on in the United States.

The United States has come a long was in its short existence. It has over come war, depression , and many other harmful setbacks that could've been enough to put an end to any other country. America is now looked upon as the most powerful country in the world. Our economy in thriving. Our population is at a good number. Our country is the most diverse in the
