An example of one kind of evil is found in the story “Paradise Lost,” by John Milton. This story is about one man’s interpretation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Satan had just been cast out of Heaven and was no longer God’s favorite. Satan did not like this, he was angry and wanted to get back at God. Satan knew that Adam and Eve were now God’s favorite and they were in the Garden of Eden. The devil tried to get into the Garden but couldn’t find a way in, for it was heavily guarded. He finally found a way into the garden, which was through an underground river, and ended up as a fountain inside the Garden

At one point in time there was a Supreme Court murder case of the Speluncean explorers. The Speluncean explorers were members of an organization that was interested in the exploration of caves. Roger Whetmore was a member of this organization, along with some others. Roger and two of his buddies in the group went cave exploring and got trapped in a cave. They had no idea how long they were going to be trapped or when they were going to be rescued. The two other men that went with Roger were also trapped. Finally the two men killed Roger for food. The questions at that point were, were it for survival and were it right or wrong? What ever it is to you, it was evil to the Supreme Court and they were convicted and sentenced to be hanged.

“Simon Birch,” staring Ian Michael Smith and Joseph Mazzello, is a movie about a little boy; Simon who thinks everyone has a God given plan. Simon was a boy that had medical problems since he was born and didn’t know what his plan was until the end. Simon saved a girl that was drowning inside of a bus, but ended up dying after he had saved the girl. That was Simon’s plan, to save the girl from drowning, and he did. So even though Simon saved a girl and did it out of good faith, he paid a consequence.

In one of the gospels from the Bible, there is an example of good and evil. Judas, one of Jesus’ disciples, went to the guards of the town that Jesus was staying in, and told them that the one that he hugged and kissed later that night was Christ. Judas did this egocentric act for a fee of money. Judas later on realized what he had done and was ashamed. Judas was so ashamed of what he had done he hung himself.

The book “ Of Mice and Men,” by John Steinbeck, was a story of two men in the forties, living as a kind of nomads, moving from town to town looking for jobs. They had to move from town to town because of one of the main characters, Lenny. Lenny was a big man, but was slow in the head. He would hurt things accidentally and the employers would fire Lenny and George, the other main character that traveled with Lenny and took care of him. Lenny would screw up at every job that they would get. He once hurt a dog, and was run out of town because he was accused of rapping a woman. The last time Lenny screwed up, he ended up killing a lady. All the other employees were running after Lenny to kill him. George didn’t want the trouble anymore. Lenny’s only real friend, George ended up killing him because he was tired of all the running and sticking up for Lenny. Killing another person is an evil act, but the others were going to kill him no anyways, so Lenny was going to die no matter what. Whether George killed Lenny out of good or evil
