A Different Way to Fly

Have you ever dreamt of flying? People always wanted to fly. Flying gives you the feeling of freedom and invincibility. Everyone finds his own way to “fly.” One doesn’t necessarily have to flutter like a butterfly or soar in the wind like an eagle. Horseback ridding has become my way to fly. It’s a beautiful sport. You can compare the feelings you have to the experience of flying arrow. When I put the saddle on, Ace puffs up his stomach and when I try to get on him, he lets all the air out; the belts loosen up and I end up on the ground. This is his way of saying that he doesn’t want to work today. Then I have to bride him with sugar and carrots to make him cooperate with me.

It’s important to make the horse trust you and want to cooperate with you. Horses are just like humans; they have unique traits of character and it’s very important to find a way to make them want to help you. It is takes a lot of time, love and effort to reach that goal. I spent at least an hour a day with Ace. Horses appreciate people who take care of them, so I groome
