In recent years an uncontrollable drug know as Crystal Methamphetamine has plagued the soul of America’s heartland. Crystal Meth is an amphetamine based with over the counter drugs and a mixture of harmful chemicals and gases. The effects of this drug are overwhelming, not only to our economy, but also to the future of our children and society overall. “Meth” can cause people to do things they might ordinarily do, by causing alterations in brain chemistry that result in symptoms and delusions of paranoid schizophrenia. Meth is also six times more powerful than heroine. Only one in six people are successful in overcoming addiction from meth. The government has spent the past two years fighting a war on terror, when the united states government should be fighting a war right here at home that is sweeping across the nation. Further action needs to be taken to fight the war on meth, to protect the future of our country. Despite the current “War on Terror” the government should be fighting the “Terror” of meth.

Crystal Meth is a terrible drug. The drug causes addiction and is invading the United States. The usage is becoming a problem with the kids in America and needs to be wiped out of our society. The United States government needs to reform it’s fight on the drug war. With the spread of the knowledge of this drug, American’s will know what meth is and to avoid it.

The use of crystal meth is so great, now people of ages and classes are becoming addicted. Teenagers particularly are using the drug more today. The drug has become easier for teenagers to get than alcohol and is affecting all teenagers. “These aren’t no tooth yokels, they’re parents work at Boeing” (Solotaroff 50) meaning the drug has not just invaded the lives of “idiots”, but the future, bright, young minds of tomorrow.
