When discussing types of people it is necessary to understand the difference between type & characteristic. For instance, Doctor, Lawyer, and Politician are professions not types. Aggressive, obnoxious, passive, are characteristics of a type. Leaders, followers, and everybody in-between are the type of people that I will be talking about: specifically, different characteristics. Leaders are seen to take charge and set goals and direction. They are responsible for promoting growth. Followers are generally in their charge carrying out their wishes. Then there’s everyone else. They neither lead nor follow, or fall outside the definition of follower.

Leaders are the people that shape the destiny of a particular group of people or a country or any number of things. These people engage in activities that will promote the growth and success of what ever it is that they are leading, for example a Pharaoh led the people of Egypt, the President of the United states leads all of us, In Saudi Arabia the leaders are called sheiks

Although leaders are quite necessary, there exists another type of person that is needed. A leader must have followers, if there are none, what is there to lead. How can a leader attain his goal if there is no one to help him? In a classroom, the student takes on the role of follower and the teacher, leader. A worker becomes a partisan when he does what he is told from the (leader) boss. You become a disciple when you conform to the standards of your religion. You adhere to the stated doctrines as given out by the Church leader. A child follows the leadership of his/her parents. If you choose to be a follower, there may be consequences for not following. If you commit adultery, you break a rule that you chose to follow as a Christian. The demands on the faithful can be just as intense as those for the leader. But most important is that there should be some sense of cooperation & trust between adherent and leader. Still there is another group of people.
