Arriving at the lusciously dense forest at daybreak, you gaze at the fresh dew delicately dangling on the foliage. You stroll through the winding dirt trails towards the steady flowing water while the birds proudly recite their early morning songs. Reaching the free flowing stream you bend down and see your clear reflection in front of the orange-yellow sky. Goosebumps rise along your arms as the streams icy depths run through your fingers. The cleansing water quickly refreshes your face, quickly washing away your anxieties and frustrations of a usual hectic life. Surveying all this, all troubles will melt away, leaving yourself with nothing else but nature- where your infinite memories will never fade. “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost discusses the sincere beauty of nature, and how many in his busy schedule does not take the time to absorb and enjoy our creator’s gift. A humble balance between man and nature is possibly and ultimately what our creator intends. This is shown through the poem “Kubla Khan” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Thus Robert Frost increases then enjoyment of his poem through the use of literary techniques. As these techniques make the poem ‘real’ for us, we become more involved in what Frost is conveying. Shakespeare shows all the great things of nature and all the faults of Humans using traditional iambic pentameter style. Consisting of five iambs in each line, otherwise meaning five pairs of stressed and unstressed syllables, Shakespeare delves with more meaning into the relationship between man and nature. For instance, he shows how colourful and lovely the colours of the roses are but his lover does not seem to have these colours on her cheeks.
