bataan powerplant

Is it right to close the Bataan nuclear power plant? But before we answer this question, we should look for facts before driving up to our conclusions. They say it is very advantageous for a country to have a nuclear power plant while others say it is too dangerous for the people. Could we imagine what Philippines could be when we have this nuclear power plant? I guess so Will it have a more stable economy or will it still be the same?.
Nuclear power plants are less likely to produce pollution and more friendly to the environment. It does not release harmful gases to the atmosphere like those in coal-burning plants such as sulfur dioxide which is responsible for acid rains, nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide which is responsible for the greenhouse effect. Nuclear power plants do not accumulate ash, which is a solid waste and must be removed for land burial. All the nuclear waste produced in the U.S. is less than one thousandth of all the solid waste regarded as hazardous. In Pittsburgh, a large nuclear power plant supplying its power would produce each day high level waste the volume of two basketballs and each year such waste could fit in a single phone booth which can be turned into a durable solid such as glass or ceramic sealing the radioactive material inside a stainless steal container until its radioactivity is exhausted so it is not a big problem for its waste disposal. In addition, nuclear power has more advantages than fossil fuel. When a country has its own nuclear power plant, it can be very helpful to its economy. The country does not need to buy power from other countries because it can produce power on its own. A nuclear power plant is very beneficial to country not only it produces less waste but also it helps the country's economy.
There are factors that can question the safety of a nuclear power plant. One factor is natural calamities that would likely to occur.
