Approximately 65 million Americans are overweight or consider themselves
to be overweight. Of these, 30 million are obese. About 50% of all women and
25% of all men are on a diet at any given moment. An estimated 1.5 million people
die in the U. S. each year of diseases associated with faulty nutrition. In the U.S. we
have more fast food restaurants, ma and pa shops, and restaurants than any place in
the world. This holds a lot of temptation in front of Americans just trying to get the
best out of life. Obviously from these stats you can see we can’t eat whatever we
want forever, and still get the best out of life. There will come a time in each one of
our lives when we will be told to eat healthier. That is unless you realize your body is
a complex machine that needs certain nutrients to maintain its well-being and the
longer you wait to start eating healthy, the shorter your life will be.
The first step in eating healthy is a properly designed diet that includes all the
nutrients your body needs, and how often you consume them. For example, if you
sleep for an average of 8 hrs. a night, then your awake for 16hrs. Since it is
