depression
Depression is serious mental health problem. Everyone experiences mood swings, disappointments, and the normal grief from loss of someone you love. But a severe depression that interferes with the ability to function, feel pleasure, or maintain interest is a serious illness. Researchers have demonstrated that it results from biochemical imbalances in the brain. Anyone can be diagnosed with depression, children, women, men and the elderly. For example, depression includes sad moods, lost of interest or pleasure in activities that were once enjoyed, change in appetite or weight, difficulty sleeping or oversleeping, physical slowing or agitation, energy loss, feelings of worthlessness or inappropriate guilt, difficulty thinking or concentrating, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide. Trying to be with other people and to confide in someone is better than being alone and secretive. Letting family and friends help. Participate in activities that may make a person feel better. Feeling better takes time. People rarely "snap out of" a depression. But they can feel a little better day-by-day. Positive thinking can replace the negative thinking that is part of the depression and will disappear. God is the best medicine for depression. He is the only one who has all the answers to the problem. The closer they are with God the better they will feel. Being right with God can definitely change the way they feel.
