Everyone wants to make easy money but it should not be at the cost of the health of our people. “Health is wealth” and “Sickness is a disease.” We always eat nutritious food in order to stay healthy and fit but how nutritious is it? Technology has advanced so much that foods are being genetically modified to increase production and to attract consumers. Now, do we really know how healthy and nourishing this food is? It’s high time we open our eyes because there are some things that our naked eyes get deceived of—genetically modified foods have a harmful outcome on our body. e called genetic engineering has been introduced to generate plants with the precise wanted traits. In addition to this, it also helps in making this process much faster and with much more accuracy than the traditional way of crossbreeding. For example, there is the process of separating a gene that is responsible for drought tolerance and inserting into a different plant that would give it the same trait. Moreover, the gene could be also taken from non-plant organisms. For instance, a naturally occurring bacterium commonly known as the B.T. or scientifically known as the Bacillus Thuringiensis manufactures crystal-shaped proteins that kill insect larvae.
