The book I chose was Seven Ways of Teaching: The Artistry of Teaching with Multiple Intelligences by David Lazear. This book examines the seven intelligences that students learn with: verbal/linguistic, logical/mathematical, visual/spatial, body/kinesthic, musical/rhythmic, interpersonal and intrapersonal. For each of the intelligences, Lazear recommends various activities that would turn a lesson plan in any discipline to accommodate a student that learns best in one of the intelligences. Lazear gives several suggestions on what teachers can do to maximize a students learning under one of the seven intelligences. For example, he suggests an activity of riddles for those students who learn by verbal/linguistic intelligence.

Lazear does a decent job of proving the fact that multiple intelligences exist. He gives scientific evidence that shows how the brain functions and why multiple intelligences exist. One thing I find fault is that he does not show how these multiple intelligence effect students. He just describes the intelligences and how they function but he does not give any indications how students function under these intelligences.
