Some of the audience members were afraid to partake in the activities. Some were quiet and reserved. The drag queens, as mentioned earlier, were very sexual in their actions. It may be said that many of them were shocking. Fashion likes shock, because shock helps sell clothing.

Fashion has a few communicative functions. One of them being individualistic expression. The other being definition of social role. Many people want to be part of a group but also want to show their individuality. This was seen among the performers at Lucky Cheng’s.
