With such diversity it is hard to generalize Native American culture. Nevertheless, one thing all Native American culture has is balance. This state of equilibrium is maintained by the ecological patterns of predators and prey, night and day, good and evil, and, left and right.

The meat-eating animals would eat the plant-eating animals but if they ate too many animals they would starve and die and the plant-eating animals would be able to repopulate. If the plant-eating animals ate too many plants they would starve too. So there was balance in the world the twins created.

As this balance didn’t prove which twin was greater they kept on contending. They gambled and they played games that still neither had one. So they dueled with clubs and at the end of the day no one had won. In the end the right-handed twin won the final duel that would end in his brothers death. The right-handed twin had deceived his brother and he knew it. The right-handed twin threw the left-handed twins body off the edge of the earth where he lives and rules.

It started when a woman who was expectant of a child sought after unusual delicacies as women’s cravings for unusual delicacies increases dramatically during pregnancy. A great tree stood in the center of the Sky-world sanctified and to be untouched by those who dwelled in the Sky-world.
