In today’s world, the use of multimedia is becoming more and more prevalent in society than ever. More and more people are using it to create intense web sites, CD’s, and DVD’s. To create a multimedia piece there are some steps that should always be followed for the completion of any project. To start, there needs to be pre-production planning. This involves meeting with a client, or if it’s a personal project, some brainstorming of ideas. After that storyboards need to be created for a visual representation of the project. There may also be a need for some type of script writing for certain projects, so that also needs to be taken into consideration also.After the pre-production phase of a project comes the actual production of the piece. This will be the longest step of the process. Finally after the actual production of the piece, the project needs to be tested for any problems because believe me there will be problems. After all of the problems and bugs are documented, they need to be fixed. Within this paper one will obtain a good grasp on the steps need to be followed in order to put together a well-designed multimedia piece. Now having completed all of the pre-production steps, the team should now be ready to start actual production of the project. With all of the planning that has been done, each of the members should have a firm grasp on the project. They will all know their assigned duties, and what is expected of them. With the storyboard they will have a blueprint of the entire project by which to follow. Extensive testing must be done to ensure that the project works and does what it is supposed to do. The final product should be given to each of the team members. Each of them should go through the project completely, and multiple times. If they come across any errors, they should be written down.
