Self-Monitoring
Self-monitoring refers to deliberate attention to aspects of one's behavior, and is an important component of self-regulated learning, which depends on favorable self-evaluations of one's capabilities and progress toward learning goals. Have you ever sleep most of the day away? If so, do you feel tired or drained after you have awakened from a first-class sleep? This is a sign of oversleeping. If you have answered yes to the following questions, don’t feel alone. I am a victim of the “oversleeping syndrome.” For the duration of the past few weeks I have monitored my sleeping behavior. This is a health-related behavior that can cause problems in your life if overly used. During my monitoring process I exposed, when trying to achieve this goal many obstacles come your way.Recently I have had problems with sleeping entirely too much. Anyone who over sleeps knows that too much sleep will drain you of all your energy. In recent monitoring I found out that too much sleep gives your body too much resting time. Therefore, the blood is not flowing through your body properly. We all need at least eight hours of sleep a day. A nap is good also. Working a full time job and attending school throughout the week causes you to become rest
Self-monitoring is how a person maintains their appearance. Self-monitoring is the image a person creates for himself and the difference in their public and private identities. Monitoring affects motivation. Success that is attributed to internal, stable factors, such as high ability, generally results in higher future expectations of success. I will continue to use motivation not only to achieve this one goal, but any goal I make. For self-monitoring, self-motivation, and self-regulation are key points in achieving all goals. In the process of achieving my goal, I will come face-to-face with many obstacles. Exercising is not the most exciting thing to do. Exercise is important, but it’s not something I enjoy doing. Therefore, when something of much interest come along I jump on the bandwagon. For instance, a friend calls me asking me to go with her to the mall. Knowing that it will take place of my exercising and also my sleeping time, I jump to the case. I see it beneficial because it stops me from sleeping, but yet stops me from achieving my goal of exercising. Instead of me telling her no straight up, I give her the yes, no treatment. Yes, I would love to go the movies. Unfortunately now is not a good time. If possible, we can go tomorrow. Yes, that’s a date. Using the yes
