Leaving home and moving into a college dorm is a big change in a young adults life. This is a time where students leave there parents and have to survive on there own. Wilder Hall at Hampton University is a prime example of a dormitory that young adults have to get adjusted to. Living in Wilder Hall is a different experience. It is a home away from home, filled with over two hundred males living together. Wilder Hall is a five story building, with over fifty rooms in it. There are many factors that make Wilder Hall different from home. Such as the bathrooms, the set up of the room, and especially the neatness of your living quarters. All of these things can make or break the smooth transition into dorm life.

The fifth floor bathroom is far from comparing to the bathrooms back at home.
One good thing about dorm life is that you don’t have to worry about your parents complaining about the cleanliness of your room. This is because they are not there with you. Room 501 may appear to be great until you look down on the floor. That’s when the pile of clothes stands out in front of you. At home this would not be aloud but in Wilder Hall it is.
