What is the right language? The Majority of Americans living in the U.S. know English, so it only makes sense for schools to teach in English, but what about the children who do not know English. Growing in the Southside of Tucson I met and knew many people, mostly from Mexico or Mexican decent, which did not know how to read or write English. In all but one of the public schools I attended there was a bilingual education program. I at first did not care about this program because I only knew English, and my Dad, who speaks Spanish fluently, did not like the program because he thought it was a waste of money and was ineffective, so I kind of followed his word, but my sophomore year of high school, I met someone who changed that opinion.
