The college admissions and selection process, is a very important one, perhaps one that will have the greatest impact on a student’s future. The college that a person attends often influences his personality, views, and career. Therefore, when I hear someone say that it does not matter which college you go to, you can get a good education anywhere, I tend to be rather skeptical. Perhaps, as far as actual knowledge is concerned, that statement is somewhat valid. Physics and mathematics are the same, regardless of where they are taught. Knowledge, however, is only a small piece of the puzzle that is college; and, it is in the rest of that puzzle that colleges differ.

My enthusiasm and activity extend not just to academics, but to other aspects of life as well. I am very involved in extracurricular activities, participating in my school’s FBLA program. Being our school’s FBLA president for two years has been good experience in leadership and communication skills. I also love to play guitar. I have been playing since I was thirteen, and I love developing my musical talent. Last, but certainly not least, I am a member of our broadcast video production class. Although it is a class in school, a good deal of experience is needed to pursue all its aspects.
