Kurt Cobain
KURT COBAINOn April 8, 1994, the lead singer and songwriter of Nirvana was found dead at his Seattle, Washington home from an apparent, " self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head." A 20-gauge Remington shotgun was found lying across his chest, and right beside him was a reported suicide note which was written with a red pen, and next to this was his wallet with his driver's license out. Next to the wallet was his Heroin stash, kept in a crayon box, filled with used needles and burnt spoons. The Seattle Police informed the media that was quickly gathering outside the Cobain residence, claiming to have found all the hallmarks of a suicide. The evidence was overwhelming. Cobain, who had been hospitalized several times for Heroin overdose since early 1992, it seemed had finally ended his pain and frustration. Nirvana was, at the time, perhaps the biggest selling band, with their second studio album, Nevermind, selling thousands upon thousands nation-wide every week. The end had come in a tragic and morbid fashion, setting off countless copycat suicides. Suicide hotlines all over America were ringing their phones off the hook with upset fans of the man who had helped to change the face of rock. Kurt Cobain
These are just some of the inconsistencies found in the Cobain case, and if you were to delve deeper into the investigation, you would notice more. I'm not one to rush into conclusions, but something does not add up here like it normally would in a definite suicide. By the way, Courtney Love had the shotgun that was used on her late husband melted. And there were no legible fingerprints, as there normally would have been from a shotgun suicide. From the outset, 1994 proved to be a bad year for the Nirvana front-man. Concerts were being sold out by legions of fans who were less considerate than what others had been at Nirvana's earlier concerts and show-dates. Kurt's stomach pains were coming back, he was sick with Bronchitis, and now he was faced with signing a contract for the up-coming Lallapolooza Show. Nirvana was one of the bands which was expected to headline the show. But Kurt wanted no part in it, and never signed the contract. He may have lost millions for this decision, but he knew that he wanted out of the music business for good. He expressed concern for his life several times to friends, and in late March of 1994, he bought a shotgun along with some ammunition. At about this time, Kurt was back on the Heroin, and was forced to attend a rehabilitation clinic for drug treatment and recovery. He stayed for two days and then left, never to be seen alive again. Now, doesn't it seem a little strange that although Kurt was clearly in fear for his life, that the same shotgun that he had bought would be found lying neatly across his chest? Sure, you could say that he bought the gun because he knew already that he was going to end his life. But someone who is scared of death and of dying will not shoot themselves with a gun tha
