Recently, the name Valerie Plame has been mentioned by certain media groups as having been a CIA operative for the United States government. She is the wife of the former US ambassador and has been critical in the Bush administration’s intelligence on Iraq. The article saying that Plame was a CIA was in Chicago sun-times. If a federal employee is charged for causing this leak it could result in ten years jail time or as much as $500,000 in fines.
