Time Management

Time Management is a matter of setting goals for your life and developing them. It is critical to organize your resources to complete your tasks in a timely manner. Effective time management is a process in which allows you to achieve your objectives. We will discuss the roles of time management as it applies in the home, workplace, and school.

In the home, housekeeping plays one of the major roles for time management. While a small part of completing housework is pleasant, the majority of it is unexciting and custom. Having a set system is a valuable solution to accomplishing housework. Household assignments should always be prioritized and completed in advance. In doing this, household members are given the opportunity to set a date to complete the task according to their schedules. This process should alleviate being overloaded and overworked.

Family time is another important form of time management. Here are a few things you can do to increase the amount of quality time you spend with your family. One way to improve your family time would be to have meals together. Schedule time for a meal that is most convenient for every member. If your evenings are too demanding, then try to have breakfast


Proper labeling of tasks allows you to set goals in the order of which you should complete them. Tasks should be distinguished as being critical or causal. Tasks required in order to complete an assignment would be considered critical in the order of the due dates. Causal tasks are not time sensitive for competition. Classification of tasks will assist in building a structured schedule to keep focus on critical tasks. A schedule will allow you to manage your time for optimal performance and eliminate possible stress.

Good organization within school is a skill within the skill of managing time. Organization is setting a structure to a group of elements in order to recall them quickly and easily. This could consist of proper note taking or even identification of key words, or statements within your reading. Without organization, you run the risk of wasting time finding something that could have been flagged for simple retrieval. Focus can be lost onto other elements when you have to find any data that was previously covered and not noted as a key point. Poor organization in other parts of your life could also play a vital role in not allowing you to utilize the time you have set aside for school.

Setting goals is very critical with time management at work. When setting goals you have to decide what you want. Focus on setting goals that are specific, measurable, realistic and most of all achievable. Goals can give us a sense
