The first thing is their appearance and why they present themselves in such a way that make them unrealistic to others. By their predictions and what prophecies they reveal, and to whom. Finally my personal opinion on how these prophecies will have great effects on the characters in this play. I sense that all of these details will be very important factors in what will make these witches quite significant.

When I think of a witch, I think of them as being old hags who are bleak and rugged in appearance. A supernatural with evil intentions and place spells on people to intentionally cause harm to others. My images of them seem to be somewhat true after reading the first part of MacBeth. I think that these prophecies will impact MacBeth the most. In my personal opinion of the witches and their prophecies I feel that from the beginning, they had the intention of planting the seed in MacBeth's head about killing Duncan to become King himself. MacBeth sees that some of which the witches told him has already come true, so he is starting to believe that so will the rest and he will in fact be, King of Scotland. However, I feel that the witch's prophecies also had a major effect on Lady MacBeth. I feel that Lady MacBeth will have great influence on MacBeth because of this. I also feel that MacBeth will do more than just kill the King, I think that this event will only be the first of many bad things to happen at the hands of MacBeth. This may involve doing whatever is needed or killing whoever gets in his way to get what he wants.
