Looking back on how hard it was for women up until the early 1900’s, how they were treated the way people would treat their child and they were to be seen but not heard. The women were to look after the children, clean, cook and have time to make sure their husbands’ were satisfied. In history women made changes slowly but the changes were strong and thanks to those strong decisions it’s much easier to be a women in America. The reason I say in America is because in places like Turkey and Iraq women are still being dominated by men and have no choice but to accept the treatment. It is their way of life or their religion that teaches them and justifies the way women are treated. Now in America women are becoming more independent and trying to make a strong name for themselves in the business world after the hundreds of years of struggle to become equal. Although women are struggling to make a strong name for themselves, often they are already prejudged by their male counterparts and other women, something that affects women negatively.

Women are given a harder time in school and in the workplace. Now Since a lot of things have changed to accommodate women in school and in the workplace like Affirmative Acti

In relationships most women are looked to be sensitive and somewhat nagging. One of the reasons guys don’t like to settle down in relationships or the reason that relationships don’t last very long is because of their pre-perception of women. Men settle down for security and the need for a companion in everyway but when it comes to communicating the relationship can be strained. In “Why Can’t he Hear What I’m Saying?” by Delorah Tamen, she describes how her husband blew up at her verbally when she asked him a simple question. “The intensity of his explosion (and my reaction) came from the cumulative effect of repeated frustrations”. Those types of situations makes it much harder for the next woman to actually show the man that she isn’t like that. Most men and women too, but more likely with men they experience one thing with one woman they automatically assume all women are that way. Then it’s the job of the next woman to prove that she’s different because she was already prejudged.

on for Women. It seems as if the intentions were good but not it has sort of backfired on women. There are more women in school advancing further than boys and on the college level there are more women enrolled. This new breed of smart independent women is something that the men in society aren’t accustomed to so there’s talk about Affirmative Action for Boys, so they can catch up to the girls. Giving the guys slack because they chose to be more sport oriented instead of book oriented, which
