Francis has many struggles and obstacles that he had to endure in order to continue his life in Christian Freedom and in his mission. One huge struggle was Franci's father, Pietro. Francis's father always wanted him to be a merchant like himself, when he found out about Francis wanting to rebuild the church of St. Damian he was very concerned and angered. Instead of supporting his song Pietro put Francis under lock and key, calling him a theif for using his cloths for money to rebuild the church. Because of this Francis and his father were summoned to court of the bishop. The bishop told Francis that he must give the money back to his father and in doing so this incident would be erased and Francis could go on and rebuild the church. Francis accepted the bishop's proposal saying his mission from God was more importnant than what his father wishes for him. Francis then went out into the world in poverty, begging people for stones to rebuild the church.

I have learned that Christian Freedom isn't someone trying to escape from anything, from their lives. Christian Freedom is doing something for the sake of all, and
