Anemia

Anemia is caused by a lack of the Vitamin B12 in the human body. The Vitamin B12

helps form red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the body's organs and tissues.

Red blood cells are formed when cells in the bone marrow divide. If parent cells

are deprived of Vitamin B12, they become larger than usual and are destroyed at

an increased rate in the bone marrw, causing anemia.

A lack of meat, eggs, or dairy products in the diet can cause anemia. Vitamin B12

is found almost exclusively in animal products. It is not found in any vegetable.
