My Journey to USA

The day, September 17th, is logged into my diary as one of the most memorable day. On this day I came to the United States of America. I left my homeland Bangladesh on September 4th. It was very hard to leave my family behind. A lot of tears were shed when I said good bye to my family members and friends. I was thankful that I was not travelling by myself. My husband was there with me and was giving me all kind of support; much needed one at that very moment. .
We started our long journey to USA. I had never flown in an airplane before that made the trip more interesting. When the plane was about to takeoff, I was very excited. For a moment the sadness seemed to disappear through the excitement. But as the wheels came off the ground tears started to roll down from my eyes. Though I was trying my best to control my emotions it was my inner heart that was asking a lot of questions. I didn't seem to have any problems while takeoff though it was my first ride on an airplane. .
We landed in Singapore after a 4-hour journey. We had an overnight stay in Singapore. It was almost dark when we arrived in Singapore. Everything appeared to be so different comparatively. I was exhausted and tired and wanted to go to bed right way after we arrived at the hotel but my husband wanted to go out. I knew he wanted to go out to deviate my attention from thinking about my family. We took about a 15-minute walk and had a wonderful dinner at the hotel afterwards. We were both exhausted and decided to call the day off. .
Next morning we went to the airport to catch a flight to Los Angeles. At first I thought it was going to be a very pleasant, but half way through the journey I felt as if it was never going to end. We had a 4-hour transit in Taipei on our way to Los Angeles that made it worse. Finally after a long journey we landed in Los Angeles. There was a sigh of relief in my mind which I knew was not going to last too long.
