The Goals

Three years ago I started my third year of college. When I moved to Wayne State College, in Wayne, Nebraska, in August, I had three short term goals that I wanted to achieve. These goals were to graduate from college within the next two years and begin teaching, get married shortly after college, and lastly, to start a family. Little did I know that these goals would be changed in the near future.
I moved into the dorms just like any other student and was trying to get into the groove of going back to school. I attended the first day of classes and then went back to my dorm. I didn't feel very good. I decided I was going to skip dinner, my stomach just had a very nauseating feeling, so I laid down and went to sleep. .
In the morning I felt just fine so I continued on to breakfast and class and just figured what I had was a little of the first day jitters. I attended class and went to the gym to work out. I got back to the dorm room right before dinner and again felt nauseated. I was like, "Ok, did I work out too hard."" I again skipped dinner and fell asleep for the night.
Again in the morning I felt fine. This went on about two weeks where I would feel nauseated only in the evening. I kept thinking maybe I was over exerting myself and decided to go see a doctor. I took my best friend Stefanie to the appointment with me so that no matter what news I received, I would have someone to support me and know what was going on. The doctor asked all of his questions about the symptoms I was experiencing. Two of the questions kind of scared me. .
The doctor asked me, "When was your last menstrual cycle?- and "Is it possible you could be pregnant?-.
I proceeded to inform him that I had irregular cycles and that I was sure I wasn't pregnant. The doctor said he wanted to run some test to make sure. I insisted that I had protected sex all the time with my fiancé and that I was on the pill.
