It emphasizes attractive qualities to enhance the consumer's desires, hopefully ending in a purchase. It helps bring consumers to the realization of their need, or maybe just want, for the product. Advertising, however, can be manipulative because it only highlights desirable qualities. Companies make their product seem more appealing by concurrently applying eye-catching themes. Whether it is humor, wealth, sex, escaping, domination, basic sensations, or affiliation, companies always manage a way to make their product appealing to consumers. To help appeal to consumers, companies commonly use magazines as a source for their advertisements. For many years, magazines have been used as a source of entertainment. There is mass variety of magazines that appeal to many different kinds of people, so the content of magazines is widely spread. Therefore, it isn't unusual that companies would have their products advertised in magazines. In particular, one magazine that has a popular audience and that has a variety of advertisements is "The Source" magazine. "The Source" is a magazine that is centered around urban entertainment, which is continuously growing with each day. Most of the articles in "The Source" contain information dealing with hip-hop music or a musical artist. Biographies of popular musical artists can be commonly found throughout the magazine. Information on prominent record companies can also be found in the "The Source.
