Justification for use of Creative Drama in the Classroom Communicating ideas and opinions stands tantamount as the one skill that all human beings must do well to succeed in their lives. We must talk openly and honestly to convey whom we are, and what we want. And we must listen to understand who others are and what they want as well. For real learning is joyful. Learning, and more importantly, collaborating in the learning experience, is an invitation to pure excitement and exhilaration. Schooling should be a coming together for creative worthwhile purposes that can extend human experiences. Part of the richness of children's lives is their play, including language play. If we make room for it in our classrooms by implementing Creative Drama we can help students use this skill to recognize, think about, and comment on their world. The teaching job is compounded, though, when life's inconsistencies plague us. Kids refuse to do assignments. Parents badmouth programs. Administrators overlook successes. In understanding those frustrations teachers must be their strongest advocates. We should celebrate our triumphs, and promote our needs. We must meet and greet the public and wrestle openly and honestly about our accomplish

Paul Ph.D., a noted expert on the process of critical thinking and logic, defined the purpose of the mind. He is on the Board of directors for the National Council for Excellence in Critical Thinking Instruction. He defines critical thinking as having two components: (1) information and belief generating skills. And (2) the habit based on intellectual commitment, of using those skills to guide behavior (Paul). In other words, once the creative component of these lesson are applied the benefit will be seen in a confidence by the student, and they will be able to make choice on an independent level that are creative, guided, committed. Once this behavior is implemented the child creates an environment where the application of the Creative Drama abilities will cross over onto the ability to reason in a creative and critical way. The make up of Creative Drama is an organized method to education. In The Structural Approach to Learning by Spencer Kagan he sites the advantages to this kind of method. For example: This can be terrific way for kids to learn. The pitfalls to applying this are huge and can totally disrupt the learning process. Acknowledging this, the teacher must be familiar if not trained in the process. For failing to do so the teacher could miss the academics and discipline of the process. Or she could lose the creative coaching position, which holds the behavior of the class together.
