The story is told from the first person (David Copperfield). The literary devices used in the story were plot, characterization, setting, point of view, climax, conflict, Imagery, symbolism, and mood. The characterization of David Copperfield was very powerful throughout his lifetime. David orphaned as a child; abandoned by his stepfather Mr. Murdstone. He was always a kind and hearted kid. He never meant wrong; he was only growing up and learning well from bad. When David set eyes on Emily he was always touched by the love he had for her.
